Fans of Blood Sisters can finally rejoice as EbonyLife Media’s Mo Abudu has confirmed that Season 2 of the hit series is officially in the works! After the massive success of the first season on Netflix, the team is preparing for even more drama, suspense, and excitement.
Taking to social media, Mo Abudu expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming season. She revealed that after 18 months of development with talented writers Craig Freimond, Zeli Zulu, and Adze Ugah, Season 2 is now moving into pre-production. The team recently had an “amazing table read,” and nearly all of the fan-favorite characters are set to return.
“Expect twists, turns, and edge-of-your-seat drama,” Mo Abudu teased, hinting that this season will dive deeper into the intense storyline that captivated audiences globally.
The gripping narrative continues to follow best friends Sarah (played by Ini Dima-Okojie) and Kemi (played by Nancy Isime), who find themselves on the run after Kemi accidentally kills Sarah’s abusive fiancé, Kola (Deyemi Okanlawon).
Along with the return of stars like Kate Henshaw, Uche Jombo, Kehinde Bankole, and others, Season 2 will also introduce fresh faces, including Michelle Dede, Ifeanyi Kalu, and Real Warri Pikin, among others.
