In a recent interview, Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, opened up about a major regret—missing the chance to buy Arsenal Football Club when it was valued at around $2 billion. Dangote, known for his business empire, shared that his passion for football led him to consider purchasing the English club. However, his focus on completing a massive refinery project took priority.
Looking back, Dangote admits, “I regret not buying it before, but my money was more needed for my refinery project than for Arsenal.” He explained that at the time, Arsenal wasn’t performing well, and the $2 billion price tag seemed more reasonable.
